This week, we have lots of events going on within our Careers department! So far, we have had visits from the University of Manchester and the University of Nottingham, as well as a talk on Appenticeships for Year 13 students.
Oxbridge Offers 2020 – St Aidan’s and St John Fisher Associated Sixth Form
The Associated 6th Form is delighted to announce that twelve students have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge for September 2020. Four students have received offers from Oxford and a further eight have offers from Cambridge.
Christmas Lunch for Year 7 and Sixth Form
Today Year 7, 12 and 13 enjoyed their Christmas lunches in the Year 7 Dining Hall and Sixth Form Cafe!
Year 13 Performing Arts
We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 Performing Arts students who completed their Musical Theatre Techniques practical exam last night. This fantastic group of students performed repertoire from a variety of musicals and showcased their excellent talents. Well done!
Children in Need – Associated Sixth Form
Our Associated Sixth Form students had a fantastic day of fundraising on Friday 15th November for Children in Need. The combined fundraising total for Main School and Sixth Form on Friday was £3402.12. And still counting!!
Professional Dance Workshop
We were delighted to welcome former student Emily Harrington to school to lead workshops with our Sixth Form Dance and Performing Arts classes. Emily has just finished the UK tour of Grease the musical and previously she has performed in Miss Saigon and Starlight Express.

Following in the tradition of full-scale musicals that has seen us staging Evita, West Side Story, School of Rock and Sister Act (to name but a few), rehearsals are now well underway for this year’s show.
