Following the Government’s statement last week, St. Aidan’s is closed for the majority of students from Monday 23 March until further notice. Only those students who have prior agreement to attend should come into school, for example, children of key workers. Further information, including provision for home learning, has been sent to parents. Thank you for your continued support.
St. Aidan’s Church of England High School became an Academy in August 2011 and given the distinctive nature of the school it is committed to the ethos of the Christian faith in the tradition of the Anglican Church. It provides an education for students aged 11 – 19. As an Academy admissions are the responsibility of the Governing Body, however in terms of procedure we follow closely the policy and timings of North Yorkshire County Council.
Students will be considered for admission into the Associated Sixth Form providing they meet the entry criteria as set out in the prospectus and Admissions Policy. Students in Year 11 at St Aidan’s and St John Fisher will be given application forms at school. Students from other schools can download an application form or ring the Associated Sixth Form Administrator, Mrs Hendry, on 01423 818516 to ask for an application form.
