Employment and Apprenticeships

Employment opportunities and apprenticeships are available to students across a wide range of industries such as Business, Finance, Law, Retail, Construction, Engineering, Health Care, Hospitality, to name a few.

Apprenticeships are an option for many students who want to start their career directly after GCSEs or Post 16 study. Students will spend most of their time with an employer, whilst also continuing to study for further training and qualifications.

The Careers Department is often notified of vacancies with local companies which can be communicated to students through the Careers Notices.

The Careers Department can also help students with searching for job opportunities, CV writing and application support, interview preparation and practice.

National Careers Week – March 2024

NCW is a celebration of careers education, information, advice, and guidance and provides us with the opportunity in school to focus our students on thinking towards the future and both who and what can help them to achieve their own individual careers aspiration.  The Parents’ Guide to NCW 2024, features lots of useful information on career pathways at both 16 and 18, work experience and underlines the work that our Careers Department and wider school community do to support and inspire our students.
