Pupil Absence

In the interest of our pupils’ safety it is important that we know that pupils are in school and which pupils are absent. If your child is absent from school for any reason, it is important that you contact us as early as possible on the first day of absence.

You can email the Attendance Officer direct and on your child’s return to school we do require a note from you to confirm the reason for your child’s absence, this should be handed in at Reception clearly marked for the Attendance Officer. If your child is absent for more than one day you do not need to contact us every day.

Going forward we remind parents that only emergency medical appointments should be made during the school day, routine dental examinations and orthodontist adjustments should be scheduled for either before or after school or during school holidays. Please make your dental practitioner aware for your next appointment.

For Sixth Form absences please contact the Sixth Form Attendance Officer by email.
