Intermediate Maths Challenge

Published on 23 Feb 2016 in Maths, School News.

We had an enormous turn out this year with 135 students taking part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge – a part of the UK’s biggest national maths competition run by the UK Mathematics Trust.

The top 40% of students nationally receive a gold, silver or bronze certificate. Our students did exceptionally well and 52% received a certificate.

Please congratulate Anna Beever in Year 10 for achieving the Best in School and Best in Year certificate as well as being in the top 500 highest scores in her school year. She will take part in the follow on Hamilton Olympiad on 10th March.

Congratulations are also in order for the following students who have been invited to take part in the Kangaroo follow on rounds on 17th March: Jovan Cvijanovic and Lawrence Richmond from Year 10, and Oliver Anslow, James Christy and Judah Burwell from Year 9. Only around 5,500 students from across all three year groups are invited to sit these papers.
