Language Trips to Spain, Germany, and France

The languages department offers its student three unforgettable visits to the historic cities of Lille, Salamanca and Cologne. The theme for all three is linguistic immersion.

In Lille, students spend their daytimes working at a variety of placements around the city including cafes, nurseries, shops and hotels. After work, they then return to their French host families for evening meals, games and conversation. In Salamanca, pupils enjoy tailor-made lessons in a well-established language school, including a number of cultural visits and experiences in the afternoons, before returning to host families in the evenings. Similarly, in Cologne our German students are treated to a mixture of tailor-made German lessons and cultural outings by day before retreating in the evening to conversation in one of a carefully selected set of traditional German restaurants.
