Celebrating an Outstanding SIAMs Inspection at St. Aidan's
We are thrilled to share the fantastic outcome of our recent SIAMS inspection, which recognises the strength of our Christian vision and the way it shapes every aspect of life at St Aidan’s Church of England High School.
The report highlights how our school community- students, staff, and leaders - work together to create an environment where everyone can flourish academically, personally, and spiritually.
Key Highlights from the Inspection:
• A vision that helps everyone thrive: Our Christian foundation is seen throughout school life, guiding decisionâmaking and supporting wellbeing, personal development, and academic growth.
• Inspiring learning experiences: Highâquality teaching and an exceptional extracurricular offer help students develop their talents and ambitions, with strong support for vulnerable learners and those with SEND.
• WALK values in action: Wisdom, Aspiration, Learning well together and Kindness are firmly embedded, shaping positive relationships and a caring culture across the school.
• Collective worship at the heart of school life: Daily reflection and opportunities for spiritual growth were recognised as meaningful, inclusive and enriching.
• Religious Study that promotes deep thinking: Students are encouraged to explore worldviews, ask big questions, and develop thoughtful perspectives.
Looking Ahead
The report identified one area for future development: expanding opportunities for students to explore spirituality across all curriculum areas. We are excited to build on this and continue strengthening our practice.
We’re incredibly proud of our students, staff, and whole community. This outcome reflects the dedication, compassion, and commitment shown every day at St Aidan’s, and we look forward to continuing to help all our young people grow with courage, confidence, kindness, and wisdom.
