Psalm 121:8
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

The Travel and Tourism curriculum at St. Aidan’s links to our whole school curriculum intent statement. Travel and Tourism prepares students for a future in a global industry that connects people, places, and cultures.

Our curriculum develops practical knowledge of destinations, customer experience, and tourism operations, alongside a clear understanding of the industry’s economic, environmental, and social impact. Students build confidence in research, communication, and problem-solving through real-world scenarios and vocational tasks. Literacy and numeracy are woven into every unit, ensuring students can analyse data, present ideas clearly, and work to professional standards. Enrichment opportunities such as visits and employer interactions bring learning to life and link directly to future career pathways. Sustainability is at the heart of the course, with students encouraged to think critically about how tourism can be a force for positive change. We support them to reflect on ethical challenges and explore how the industry can grow responsibly. Guided by St. Aidan’s Christian ethos and our vision of “life in all its fullness,” the subject fosters aspiration, respect, and global awareness. Travel and Tourism enables students to see the wider world with curiosity and care—and to step into it with purpose.
