Community Concert at Aldborough Church

Published on 3rd Dec 2019 in Music | School News

With the final strains of We Will Rock You still ringing in their ears almost,  80 St Aidan’s musicians in the shape of the Chamber Choir and the Symphonic Wind Band journeyed the 13 miles out to Aldborough, near Boroughbridge to give a concert of popular band and choral music on Thursday 28th November.  The band entertained a large and appreciative audience with favourites such as Libertango, Mamma Mia and the Avengers, and the choir performed O Radiant Dawn, In Flanders Fields and 10,000 Reasons among other pieces.  St Andrew’s is a regular venue for us at St Aidan’s, having performed there a number of times in recent years; we are always assured of a warm welcome for our music-making!
