Students from the Associated Sixth Form have received a remarkable and extremely well-deserved set of results in A Level and Level 3 Applied General and BTEC qualifications. The manner in which they have worked through the challenges of learning during their time in the Association has been impressive and there is much to celebrate across the Sixth Form.
Over 83% of students secured their preferred course at their first choice University including 9 students who applied for Medicine and Dentistry and a further 9 students who applied for Oxford and Cambridge universities. Over 95% of students secured a place on their preferred course at their first or second choice University. A number of students have decided not to head off to university this year, some planning gap year adventures ahead of deferred entry and others choosing to embark on their careers via employment and apprenticeships.
Results were issued electronically for the second year and our expert Careers and pastoral staff have been supporting students wishing to discuss grades and destinations. The determination and commitment of our students is clear, particularly against the backdrop of extraordinary circumstances again this year, as is the dedication and expertise of their teachers and support staff.
We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements and we wish them well in their next steps. We are confident that they will move on to rewarding careers in a wide range of professions with resilience gained from this most difficult year which will serve them well in all they do.
