Year 12 English Literature and Drama student Sophie Robinson is representing St Aidan’s on the Harrogate Theatre ‘Young Reviewer’ scheme, in which one Sixth Former from each school is offered the opportunity to review selected performances staged throughout the year at Harrogate Theatre.
To replicate the deadlines of the profession, students are given just one week to write and submit their 300 word review of each show. All reviewers receive individual feedback and tips from Rachel Auty, Harrogate Theatre’s Head of Communications and she also chooses the best review of each show to be published in the Harrogate Advertiser.
Sophie attended ‘The Shy Manifesto’, a bittersweet comedy drama about a boy who is fed up of being told to come out of his shell and her review has been chosen to be featured in the Harrogate Advertiser this week! It has also been published on the Harrogate Theatre website.
