science updates

1. We are developing a bank of Key Stage 3 resources for Year 9 pupils to improve their understanding of key concepts. These resources will be put on the school Intranet.

Booster lessons are being arranged for those pupils aiming for the highest levels in the end of Key Stage SAT examinations.

2. We are developing self assessment and grade targeting for Year 10 pupils. The idea is to review grades with pupils perceived to be under achieving and set new targets for them.

3. We are developing the use of intranet and internet resources to try and encourage more pupil led activity.

4. New data logging modules continue to be developed.

5. Human Biology and Geology AS courses have been introduced in Year 12 and have proved to be successful so far.
