Year 7 School Trips
In Year 7 the pupils have the chance to make a residential trip over a weekend to Northumberland. This trip has been taking place for well over 30 years and gives all pupils in Year 7 the opportunity to study the history, geography and religious background of the area.
Pupils leave school early on the Friday morning, and travel to Durham where they visit Durham Cathedral.
Lunch is normally taken by the river in Durham before the pupils journey further north to stay at Ford Castle in Berwick.
Saturday involves a visit to Holy Island where St. Aidan, after whom the school is named, lived and preached.
On the return journey on the Sunday there is a visit to Beamish Open Air Museum.
All pupils are returned to either Ripon or Harrogate by 5pm on the Sunday – many of whom are exhausted from their endeavours!
