On Thursday 16th May we say goodbye to our Associated Sixth Form Year 13 students. We wish them luck in all their examinations and the exciting future that lies ahead.

On Saturday 18th May 2019 Friends of St Aidan’s (FOSA) are tackling the beautiful Yorkshire Three Peaks. We will be taking in the big hills of PenYGhent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. Fund raising and training is well underway but we need all the support we can get.
Pagen Spooner, Year 13 student, was selected to represent the England Team at a European Athletics Event in the Czech Republic on Saturday 6th April. She raced against International Athletes from across Europe in the 10km Race walk event.
Did you know you should boil your bagels before baking? Sixth Form students studying Food Science and Nutrition had an amazing time at Swinton Park Spa Hotel on Wednesday 6th March, researching for their exam coursework.
Over 65 employers, universities, colleges and training providers attended our annual Careers Evening in Constance Green Hall on Thursday 14th March. This was a fantastic event – thank you to all staff, students and parents who supported this evening.
Well done to all the Year 13 A Level Dance students who had their performance evening this March. Also well done and thank you to students from both schools who performed in the choreography pieces.
Some of our Sixth Form students enjoyed a wonderful week skiing in Superdevoluy, France in February Half Term.

Well done to the debating team from St Aidan’s and St John Fisher Associated Sixth Form. In the second round of the MACE debating competition held last week at Harrogate Grammar School, the team defeated St Peter’s of York and are now through to the NE Regional Finals.
