Welcome to St. Aidan’s CE High School

Update following notice of Tower Travel ceasing trading.

Following the notification sent to parents overnight that Tower Travel has ceased trading with immediate effect, meetings have been held at St Aidan’s and St John Fisher to urgently arrange transport for all pupils concerned. Our priority at this stage has been to ensure that transport is in place without delay and we have arranged cover for the two routes previously operated by Tower Travel as follows:

Route 9 – A and A Coaches – commencing Tuesday morning 27.9.16

Route 10 – Connexions – commencing Monday afternoon 26.9.16

Parents who paid Tower Travel by credit card are advised to contact their credit card provider immediately as it may be possible to recover fares paid for your son or daughter’s bus pass. As soon as any further news or information is available we will of course let you know and you can be assured that we are working on your behalf with transport providers and others to help resolve this situation.

“The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St. Aidan’s High as a Church of England school are outstanding. St. Aidan’s fully embodies the vision for sustained excellence and effectiveness that stems from distinctive and inclusive church school provision. All groups of students succeed at all ages and the school deservedly has gained the trust and respect of the communities it serves.” Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools Report

“Parents, pupils and staff are very clear that St. Aidan’s is an outstanding school in all respects and inspectors agree.” Ofsted Inspection
